well thanks
all the blue lights in the case are the fans, those came with the case when i ordered it.
i ordered 2 packs of 12 inch black light tubes (because my favorite colour is purple)
turned out the packs came with 2 inside, so i wound up with more then i originally wanted.
they all just barely fit.. but i love it.
AND i don't need any lights on when it gets dark :P i have one giant lamp right next to me.

Yeah those lights are awesome. That's something I've always wanted but never bought. I have a small blue light on my external drive enclosure and it's underwhelming to say the least. Anyway I do love my system.
  • Moderately ugly, strange shaped ASUS case. No lights, 2 case fans, media panel/card readers, 8 USB, 1 eSata
  • Windows 7 Pro x64
  • Intel Core i7 920 3.2 ghz OC, 3.4 ghz effective
  • 9 GB DDR3 1600 RAM
  • Nvidia GTX 260 ~38% OC
  • ASUS Extreme, non-deluxe motherboard
  • 550w deluxe PSU, rated at 680 if I remember correctly. It's a strangely effective PSU
  • 2x 1 TB Seagate 7200 RPM 32mb hard drive
  • 1 TB Samsung 7200 RPM 32mb external speeddisk via eSATA in RAID0
  • 4-6 GB dynamic software RAM disk for internet cache, scratch disks, etc
  • Cheap Razer macro keyboard
  • Cheap Microsoft gaming macro lazer mouse at 2000 dpi
  • 24" Acer 40000:1 2ms LCD dual-monitor primary
  • 22" Haier 600000:1 5ms LED-LCD HDTV dual-monitor secondary
  • Cheap, generic brand DVD burner
  • Terrible onboard sound card
  • Sennheiser HD headphones wasted on the above sound card

i'm really glad i did it, i love my lights.
for my first custom built pc i went a little crazy as i'm sure everyone does.
end result is awesome though, and if i wear a white sweater, i generate my own light. lol!
